A full Sunday of surfing unfolded in Las Américas. The Spring Surfest Las Américas Pro hosted the Junior Regional Championship, organized by the Canary Surfing Federation and held at the well-known left-hand wave of El Centro, as part of the collaboration between Club Varada and the event organizers.
The standout in the boys’ U18 division was Cantabrian surfer Eder Fuentes (15.50), who claimed the final with two excellent waves, finishing ahead of Xan Atchoarena (14.26), Castè Achille (10.20) and Ferrán Sancho (9.00). Fuentes delivered the most consistent performance throughout the day, winning every heat he entered.

In the girls’ U18 division, local surfer Nadia Nalesso (13.50) set herself apart with two solid waves, securing the win over Ludovica Chila (9.67), Alejandra Cruz (8.47), Beta Valatkaite (3.77) and Jagoda Budzinska (3.66). The Canarian surfer also asserted her dominance in the girls’ U16 division (13.26), claiming both junior titles and completing a remarkable double in Las Américas.

In the final category of the day, the boys’ U16 division, the spotlight went to Ruy Hurtado (13.56), who took a tightly contested final ahead of local surfer Stefano Mandozzi (12.17), Daniel Cambreleng (11.03) and Jorge Sainz (5.20).
