Nadia Nalesso and Rocco Rigliaco crowned Under-14 European Champions at the Spring Surfest Las Américas Pro

A spectacular finale for Europe’s premier surf festival. Playa de Las Américas, in Arona, hosted the final day of competition at the Spring Surfest Las Américas Pro 2025 with the concluding rounds of the Eurokids, in a session where the Spanish Left delivered its best conditions to close the event in style.

The standout of the day was local surfer Nadia Nalesso Blanco, who claimed the Under-14 European women’s title just one week after securing a double victory in the junior divisions (U16 and U18) at the same festival. The Canary Island rider (14.50) prevailed in the final over Ireland’s Isabella O’Reilly (13.35), Switzerland’s Zoe Hauser (8.65) and England’s Ellie Hickie (2.95).

In the Under-14 boys’ division, Italy’s Rocco Rigliaco (17.75) clinched the European title in a high-level final, ahead of fellow Italian Stefano Mandozzi (14.50), Portugal’s Ruy Morais (12.75) and Poland’s Niko Fleiss (10.55).

Earlier in the day, Mandozzi delivered the highest combined heat score of the entire event to win the Under-12 boys’ final, earning a perfect 20.00 after riding two outstanding waves. The podium was completed by Poland’s Niko Fleiss (15.85), Spain’s Nel Raposo (10.70) and fellow Pole Oli Fleiss (10.00).

In the Under-12 girls’ category, Wales’ Katarina Roth secured the title with a strong performance (15.50), finishing ahead of last year’s champion Betsie Reay (12.25), Willow Craxton (7.55) and Natalie Karbus (3.10).

In the youngest division, the Under-10, and despite slightly more challenging conditions than usual for the category, Portugal’s André Moraes (16.00) and local surfer Eva Rico (15.00) were crowned champions, showcasing talent, confidence and determination on the Spanish Left.
