Europe’s top surfing returns to Arona for the eighth year in a row. From November 22 to December 8, the Spring Surfest Las Américas Pro will once again bring some of the continent’s best riders to the iconic left-hand wave of Las Palmeras. Sponsored by Turismo Arona and Turismo de Tenerife under the Tenerife Awakens Emotions brand, the event is organized in collaboration with the European, Spanish, and Canary Surfing Federations.
The action gets underway November 24–27 with the Open Las Américas Surf Pro, the grand finale of Spain’s revamped national circuit. Just as in last year’s edition, which crowned Luis Díaz and Lucía Machado, the competition will decide the first champions of the Men’s Pro League and the Women’s Pro-Iberdrola League. Only the top 24 ranked surfers in each category—the elite of Spanish surfing—will battle for the titles.
From November 28–30, the spotlight shifts to the next generation with the Junior Regional Championship Las Américas Surf Pro. Organized by the Canary Surfing Federation, this season-ending event will crown champions in the under-16 and under-18 categories. For the first time, the contest will be held at El Centro left-hand wave instead of the Spanish Left.
December kicks off with the Euromaster Open of Surfing, running December 1–4. The fourth edition will see Europe’s best over-40 riders compete at Las Palmeras for the continental crown. At the same time, the top Spanish male and female finishers will claim the national Masters titles.
The festival wraps up with the youngest competitors: from December 4–8, the Eurokids event will showcase the brightest national and European talents in the under-10, under-12, and under-14 divisions, with European titles on the line. The under-10 heats will take place at El Centro, with finals potentially moving to Las Palmeras.
As in 2024, the event reaffirms its commitment to the local community by ensuring all competitions run only between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., leaving the waves free for local surfers outside these hours.
But Spring Surfest Las Américas Pro is much more than surfing. Concerts, workshops, beach clean-ups, and a full schedule of parallel activities will once again bring the community together and celebrate the spirit of surf culture.
Registration is now open for the Junior Regional Championship Las Américas Surf Pro, the Euromaster, and the Eurokids. Surfers can secure their spot through the official event website until November 21. Registration for the Open Las Américas Surf Pro will be announced shortly.
