Christian Jiménez and Adelina Taylor in over 40s, Dani García in over 50s, and Jesús María Guerra and Irina Tariuc in over 35s emerge as the Euromaster winners
It was an emotional day at the Spring Surfest Las Américas Pro. The fourth edition of the Euromaster, which had more than 80 participants from 8 different countries, reached its climax with the finals of all five divisions. Despite less-than-ideal conditions, the Masters showcased their enduring surfing skills in Arona, proving their talent shines under any circumstances.
One of the standout performers of the day was Adelina Taylor, a legend in both Canarian and Spanish surfing. She was crowned European Champion after clinching victory in the Women’s Over 40s division. Joining her on the podium was Moldovan surfer Irina Tariuc, who earlier in the day won the Women’s Over 35s category.
In the men’s divisions, Lanzarote native Christian Jiménez claimed the top prize, becoming the European Champion in the Men’s Over 40s category. He triumphed over local surfer Matías Hernández and Dani García, who shortly afterward returned to the water to defend his title in the Men’s Over 50s division for yet another year. Fellow Lanzarote native Jesús María Guerra secured victory in the Men’s Over 35s category.
This Wednesday, December 4, the spotlight will shift to the youngest surfers as the final event of the Spring Surfest Las Américas Pro 2024 kicks off. The Eurokids competition will celebrate its biggest edition yet, featuring three divisions: Under-10, Under-12, and Under-14. The Under-14 division will crown the European Champion for the category.
