The best surfing in Europe returns to Arona. From November 22 to December 8, Playa de Las Américas will host a new edition of the Spring Surfest Las Américas Pro. The best surfers from the continent will gather at an event sponsored by Turismo Arona and Turismo de Tenerife, through its brand “Tenerife Despierta Emociones,” and jointly organized by the European Surfing Federation, the Spanish Surfing Federation, and the Canary Islands Surfing Federation.
The festival, which combines sport, culture, social activism, and environmental protection, has established itself as one of the best events in Europe. This edition will extend up to 17 days, its longest duration to date, hosting up to four official competitions with the expected participation of over 300 surfers from Spain and Europe.
Las Américas Surf Pro Eurocup will kick off the competition from November 22 to 28, where the European Surfing Champions (men’s and women’s) will be crowned. It will also be the final event of the National Open Surfing Circuit and will crown the champions of both the SurfingES League and the Iberdrola League. Organized by the European, Canary Islands, and Spanish Surfing Federations, it will feature over 150 riders between the ages of 15 and 35.
The event will continue with the Las Américas Pro Junior Championship, where the best national riders will compete in the under-16 and under-18 categories. This official event, valid for the National and Canary Islands circuits, will take place from November 29 to December 1, and will be organized by the Canarian and Spanish Surfing Federations.
From December 2 to 6, the third edition of the Las Américas Pro Euromaster Open of Surfing will be held. Simultaneously, the Spanish Master Championship will take place, with the top-ranked Spanish male and female surfers in the Euromaster being crowned champions. Riders over 40 years old will compete and the event will be organized by the European, Spanish and Canarian Surfing Federations.
For the third consecutive year, the youngest surfers will bring the festival to a close. From December 4 to 8, a new edition of the Eurokids will be held, featuring the best national and European talents competing in the under-10, under-12, and under-14 categories, with the European title in each category up for grabs.
Registrations for the competition are now open and can be made through the event’s official website until November 21.
