Blue Surfest arrives with a full day designed to discover, learn, and connect with the marine ecosystem of Tenerife through participatory, creative, and inspiring activities. Throughout the day, people of all ages can enjoy talks, workshops, and guided experiences led by Innoceana and specialists in marine conservation.
A look at the program
11:00 – “Coastal Walk” Talk-Experience with Pablo Dive
We begin the day with a guided route that invites us to look at the coastline with fresh eyes. With Pablo Dive as our guide, we will learn how this stretch of the Tenerife coast works, its unique features, and the value of the ecosystem that surrounds it.
11:30–18:00 – Innoceana Stand Setup
Throughout the day, visitors can stop by the stand to learn more about marine conservation projects and the initiatives currently taking place in Tenerife.
12:00–14:00 – Interactive Workshops with Innoceana: Learn About the Ocean
An educational experience open to children and adults, offering four activities designed to connect with the marine environment in an engaging and accessible way:

12:30 – Participatory Roundtable on Marine Sustainability
An open dialogue with Pablo Dive, Carla Pérez, Edu Martín, and Carla Henríquez. Anyone attending is welcome to share questions, concerns, or ideas regarding the future of the ocean on the island.
15:00–17:00 – Interactive Workshops with Innoceana (Second Session)
The four activities open again in the afternoon, offering another opportunity to dive into marine conservation topics.
18:30 – Presentation on the Innoceana Stage
A special closing presentation to share reflections and experiences from the day.
Innoceana Experiences
Throughout the event, participants can enjoy four experiences created to learn about and reflect on the ocean from different perspectives:
1. Marine Biodiversity
A talk–workshop introducing key species found in the seabeds of Guía de Isora: seagrass, fish, invertebrates, and unique habitats.
It includes games, information about local ecosystems, and insights into the ecological and tourism value of the marine environment.
2. Citizen Science in Conservation
A hands-on simulation showing how anyone can contribute to real scientific projects. Participants will experience how seagrass meadows are monitored using Innoceana’s tools and how field data is collected and analyzed.
3. Painting Station
A creative space where art becomes a bridge to environmental education. Through ocean-inspired drawings and body painting, conversations arise about marine species and the importance of protecting them.
4. Animal Rescue Simulation
A visual and participatory activity that highlights the impact of marine pollution. With toy animals trapped in plastics and debris, the dynamic helps illustrate the real dangers faced by marine wildlife and the importance of acting early to protect ocean life.
Blue Surfest is an invitation to get closer to the sea through knowledge, creativity, and collective action. It’s an opportunity to better understand the environment around us and to discover how every small gesture matters in protecting our oceans. We look forward to sharing a day full of learning and connection with nature!
